Counseling and Specialized Mental Health Services Built Around You
Our Services at a Glance
Oak Hills Behavioral Health Solutions offers a full range of mental health services in Moberly, MO, including individual counseling, marriage and family counseling, and EMDR therapy, with specialized support for men’s mental health, anger management, and inclusive care for every family. Below, explore each service and how our team builds a personalized treatment plan around your needs.
Individual Counseling
One-on-one counseling gives you a private, supportive space to work through depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, PTSD, insomnia, trauma, grief, smoking cessation, coping with chronic pain, and major life changes. Sessions are paced to your needs, with practical tools you can use between visits.
Stress is a normal reaction to everyday pressures and usually improves once circumstances change. Trauma comes from a deeply distressing event and can affect a person's sense of safety long after it has passed. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a diagnosable condition that can develop after trauma, often involving flashbacks, avoidance, and heightened anxiety that persist for months or longer. Our counselors are equipped to support clients anywhere along that spectrum.
EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapy approach that helps clients process and move past distressing memories, particularly related to trauma and PTSD. Rather than requiring you to talk through every detail of a difficult experience, EMDR uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess memories so they feel less overwhelming. It’s often used alongside individual counseling for a more complete approach to healing.
Men's Mental Health
Many men face added pressure to handle stress alone, which can make it harder to start a mental health conversation. We offer a judgment-free space for men working through depression, anxiety, anger, or other emotional challenges, with an approach that meets you where you are.
Anger Management Education and Counseling
Our anger management support is delivered through individual counseling sessions, giving you a private space to understand your triggers and build healthier ways to respond to conflict and frustration. Sessions focus on practical tools you can apply in daily life, at work, and in relationships.
Marriage and Family Counseling
Relationships go through hard seasons, and our marriage and family counseling helps couples, parents, and children work through conflict, co-parenting challenges, parenting struggles, and reintegration after major life transitions. We focus on rebuilding communication and trust as a family unit.
Inclusive Care
Oak Hills Behavioral Health Solutions provides a welcoming, affirming space for individuals and families of all backgrounds and identities. This includes supporting parents who are learning how to respond with care when a child shares something new about their identity, and helping every family type feel understood, whatever that looks like for you.
Does Insurance Cover Therapy at Oak Hills?
Mental health coverage varies by plan, so costs like co-pays, deductibles, and in-network status depend on your individual policy. Our team can verify benefits as a courtesy, but your insurance company makes the final decision on coverage and cost. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first visit to ask about your therapy co-pay, deductible status, and whether telehealth counseling sessions are covered.
Personalized, Coordinated Treatment Plans
Every service we offer starts with a full picture of your history and current needs, not a one-size-fits-all script. Because individual counseling, family counseling, EMDR, and specialized programs are all offered in the same practice, your care team can coordinate directly instead of leaving you to manage referrals on your own.
